Exhibition
6–18 Sep 2008 Art Ascends to the Moon
As the Mid-Autumn Festival is drawing close, an exhibition titled “Art Ascends to the Moon” will be held on 6-18 September 2008 at Metro City Plaza II, Tseung Kwan O. The exhibition is curated by Yu Kei-kei and Tang Ying-mui, Grace, members of the MIA. Eight local artists have been invited to express their imagination about the moon and flying to the moon in their artworks. By utilizing the space in a shopping arcade as the exhibition venue, the curators would also like to bring art closer to the public and to initiate a dialogue between the artworks, space and viewers.
Look forward to seeing you in this artistic trip to the moon.

July in 2007 is special which is the decennial of Hong Kong’s return to China. MIA, Too Art and Lumenvisum have prepared a gift to everybody. This exhibition is called “Ten Years of Images”.
We gathered artists from different backgrounds and nationalities to express their feelings of Hong Kong through livelihood, politics, culture, entertainment, human rights and the community in the last ten years.
The citizen of Hong Kong will find it easier to extend their collection since the medium used is photography. Perhaps, before visiting the pandas for the next ten years, we can find another visual vibration from this exhibition.

In order to share with the audience more about the exhibition, we held a Public Sharing Session with the theme: “The Interference of Parallel Worlds”, Chris Chan Kam Shing was the moderator in this event.
The four female artists, using different materials, are working in various perspectives about time, history and space. Their artistic attitudes and the interactive installation among their artworks demonstrate their determinations in their works and their pursuit of art.

Feb 2006 LEAP – Local East-Kowloon Art in Progress, Sing Win Factory Building
The art and cultural exhibition “LEAP – Local East-Kowloon Art in Progress” featured a group of proactive artists from six studio workshops in a factory building located in Kwun Tong industrial area. They opened their workshops as part of the exhibition with their artworks jumping from the studios to the public area of the building too. The audience would share experience with the artists to live, study, play and experiment as part of their daily lives. The event and the process of making this exhibition built up a communication platform for public community and the artists in this building. And they believe there is no boundary between art lives and daily lives.
